Understand why you were declined — and what to do next

Lenders don’t approve a number. They clear rules. CreditReady surfaces policy, fraud and affordability checks in plain English, then turns gaps into an interactive Action Hub so you can improve readiness before you re-apply.

Education and self-help only. CreditReady is not a registered credit provider, credit bureau, or debt counsellor under the National Credit Act. We do not grant credit, issue credit scores for lending, or guarantee approval. Always verify outcomes with your lender.

Product features

Everything in the consumer app is built to answer two questions: what blocked you, and what should you do first?

Credit Readiness score

Composite progress from policy, fraud, affordability and completed actions — with clear bands and encouragement to keep going.

Policy rules checklist

Acquisition-style gates in basic English: legal status, score floors, enquiries, employment, exposure, file depth, and more — with pass/fail ticks.

Fraud & risk checks

Identity, velocity, consistency and adverse-claim alignment presented educationally — not scare tactics.

Affordability workspace

Declared income and expenses with residual framing aligned to how lenders stress living costs (higher of declared vs a minimum floor) and FOIR context.

Action Hub

Prioritised gaps, micro-plans, mark-as-done, and curated links to major SA banks, retailers and telecoms so you pay on the creditor’s own site. CreditReady never takes creditor payments.

Offline progress

Update declared details between bureau refreshes and see rule ticks and readiness move — so progress isn’t frozen until the next pull.

New breach highlights

When a fresh analysis runs, newly failed checks are flagged so you can see what changed versus your last cycle.

Retention timing

Clear guidance on when a recheck makes sense after the reporting cycle — honest about what updates offline vs what needs new bureau data.

How it works

  1. Register & declare — identity match, income and living costs.
  2. Consent & analysis — bureau-backed full analysis (when live) or partner-fed decline data in pilots.
  3. See the checks — policy, fraud and affordability in plain English.
  4. Work the plan — Action Hub priorities, settle pathways, mark done.
  5. Re-apply when stronger — readiness improves; you return to the lender’s normal process.

For lenders & partners

Declines don’t need to be a dead end. CreditReady can sit after your decision as a readiness layer: explain multi-reason declines, coach recovery, and route return-ready customers back into your apply journey.

  • You keep the credit decision
  • POC paths using partner-supplied decline data
  • Funnel and behavioural reporting
  • Structured return hand-back
